Summer on the Italian Coast Excursions
Ciao a tutti,
We are excited to fill you in on the upcoming culture rich excursions you will participate in the near future! You will all be meeting the CISabroad Sorrento Site Director, Romina Marchionne soon after you arrive on site. During your first few days on site, you will be taken out for a delicious welcome dinner with all other students in the program to kick off your time in Italy! You’ll be given more information about excursions and dates during orientation in Sorrento.
In addition to the included CISabroad activities, there are also other trips and activities coordinated by Sant’Anna Institute that you may participate in for a supplemental fee. For more pictures of students on excursions, please see the CISabroad Italy Facebook page.
For the Summer of 2018, CISabroad & Sant’Anna Institute take you to Capri!
A resort since the Roman Republic, Capri is still a tourist destination for both Italians and travelers. Features of the island include the Marina Piccola (the little harbor), the Belvedere of Tragara (a high panoramic promenade lined with villas), the limestone crags called “sea stacks” that project above the sea (the Faraglioni), the town of Anacapri, and the ruins of the Imperial Roman villas.
But wait, there’s more! Students have the opportunity to join other grand excursions to various destinations throughout Southern Italy. These excursions could be a trip to Mt. Vesuvius, or a visit to Naples, Pompeii, or the Amalfi Coast. Students will be able to sign up for these additional excursions on-site. Please note, these additional excursions are not included in the program fees.
