Please note that excursions are not finalized until around the time you arrive (and some are even more impromptu than that). This page is more of a guideline to CISabroad excursions than an itinerary. Below are some of the places previous travelers in your programs have visited

The Roman Colosseum and Forum  

Dive back into ancient European history with a visit to the ruins of the grand Roman Colosseum and Forum! The most iconic figure of Imperial Rome, the Colosseum is still standing after being built nearly 2000 years ago. The Roman Forum, toward the center of the city, was once the bustling center of Rome’s public life; even emperors were crowned there!

Castel Gandolfo 

Situated about 15 miles southeast of Rome in the Alban Hills, Castel Gandolfo is considered one of Italy’s most scenic communes.

Florence 

One of the best known cities in Italy and sometimes called the “Athens of the Middle Ages,” Florence has continued to be an important hub of art and scholarship in the nation’s Tuscany region. Tuscany is considered the birthplace – the true heart – of the Renaissance.

Musée d’Orsay 

Located on the banks of the Seine, the Musee d’Orsay is home to the largest collection of impressionist and post-impressionist art in the world

Versailles 

This sprawling palace was once the seat of the monarch before the French Revolution and still serves as a reminder of the Ancien Régime. From the courtyard to the gardens, you are unlikely to find a more breathtaking palace anywhere.

Giverny 

A small commune in northern France, Giverny is best known as the home of Claude Monet. Today, the village is a bustling tourist attraction during the spring when the flowers in Monet’s garden bloom.
