Arrival information

One group transfer from the Adolfo-Suarez Madrid-Barajas Airport to Hotel JC Santo Domingo in Madrid will be arranged for the morning of Monday, May 25th and another for the morning of Saturday, June 20th.

A specific transfer time and instructions for each day will be confirmed once everyone has submitted their flight information. This information will be posted here and e-mailed to you. Your on-site coordinator will be at the terminal to greet you after you have collected your bags and will escort you to the airport transfer bus.

Navigating between Madrid’s airport and city centre is nothing to be intimidated by! If for any reason you miss the group transfer, please let your onsite staff know you will be making your way to the hotel independently, and by which route you intend to travel, so we can estimate your time of arrival.

Getting to the Hotel JC Santo Domingo in Madrid independently:

A taxi from Madrid airport to Hotel JC Domingo in Madrid will cost about 30-40€ one-way and there will be plenty available outside of all Terminals in the airport when you have your belongings and are ready to travel into Madrid center. Without traffic the journey takes about 20 minutes. In traffic, the journey can take anywhere from 30-45 minutes. This option, while not the least expensive, is certainly the most convenient if you find yourself having to navigate from door-to-door independent of the group.

You also have the option of taking a bus or the metro into Madrid city centre.

By Bus: Madrid Airport Express offers services from the Madrid Airport to the Madrid city center on a 24 hour basis. The cost of this trip is 5€.  You can board the Madrid Airport Express from all Terminals in the airport.  You will get off the bus at the Plaza de Cibeles stop in Madrid center. Immediately, you will be able to locate the Banco de Espana metro station.  Once inside the station, take Line 2 (Red) to the Santo Domingo stop. The cost of this metro journey is 1.50€. Hotel JC Santo Domingo is just a short walk from the Santo Domingo metro station.  The average duration of the journey is 45 minutes-1 hour.

By Metro: Once you exit baggage claim with your belongings, follow the signs for Metro de Madrid. Make sure you buy a Single Ticket+airport supplement. This will cost 6€. Take Line 8 to Nuevos Ministerios. Transfer to Line 10 to Plaza de España. Hotel JC Santo Domingo is just a short 5 minute walk from the Plaza de Espana metro station. The average duration of the journey is 1 hour.
