There are a few different excursions for this Argentina program that we choose from for each session. Students will get to travel as a group on the excursion that works best for the group and time of year. If you are interested in other travel opportunities, we’d be happy to help you book tours or answer questions you might have. Here are some places we have traveled to in the past:
Spend a day traveling around Tigre, the beautiful, unique island and boat community with stops for lunch and to see other interesting sites.
Explore local markets and traditional Argentine culture by wandering around this old town.
Throughout the program there are also many meetups and social gatherings in which you might meet the Site Director for coffee, take Tango lessons, visit a museum, or go to her house for dinner. If there is something you’d really like to do, please ask and we will try to accommodate you!
Argentina is a very large and beautiful country. You will more than likely want to take some independent trips with a group of friends to different parts of Argentina. We definitely encourage you to do so, but please let the Site Director know where you are going, how long you will be there, and when you plan to return. A few popular places to visit are: Tierra del Fuego, the farthest southern point in Argentina; wine country in Mendoza; and Iguazu Falls.
