Get ready for fun and learning in Amsterdam!

Tentative Program Itinerary:
As it goes with any plan, flexibility is key! Below is a summary of your itinerary as it currently stands, but please check with Adam at the start of your program for any adjustments or changes. It’s always a good idea to review the plan for the next day before you turn in for the night, too!

Tuesday – August 11, 2015 – Depart U.S.
Evening: Depart for Amsterdam

Meals included: None, other than what the airline will provide
Transportation: International flight

Wednesday – August 12, 2015 – Arrive in Amsterdam!
1:00pm – Arrive in Amsterdam, clear immigration, collect your bags, walk through customs and meet your CISabroad onsite representative, then transfer to your accommodations.

Afternoon: Two hour city walking tour with Kees Kaldenbach

5:30pm – Group welcome dinner at The Upstairs Pancake House for a traditional Dutch “pannenkoeken” meal

Meals included: Dinner
Transportation: Airport to accommodations (one group transfer via private coach); accommodations to walking tour to dinner (public transportation/walking)

Thursday – August 13, 2015
11:15am – One hour presentation at Soa Aids Netherlands with Mrs. Marianne Jonker and Mr. Koenraad Vermey

12:45pm – Lunch at the Langendijk

2:00pm – Meeting with the Not For Sale Campaign at their recently opened store front.

Representatives will share a presentation about their mission and work, and leave time for questions. In lieu of making a donation to their organization they ask that everyone take time at the end to browse their shop and consider purchasing merchandise. They have fair trade chocolate, coffee, soup made in their training program, postcards, and many other gift items. All somehow related to their work.

Friday – August 14, 2015
10:30am – Meeting with Alexandra van Dijk of Buro Brycx, an ICRSE member

Lunch at the Engelbewaarden

Time TBD – Visit the Amsterdam Sexmuseum

4:00pm – Visit and Q&A with Mariska Majoor at the Prostitute Information Center, followed by a tour of the Red Light District

Meals included: Breakfast, lunch
Transportation: Accommodations to visits (public transportation and walking)

Saturday – August 15, 2015
11AM-12:30PM – Visit the Resistance Museum, English audio guides will be provided or you can download a free audioguide here!

Lunch at Tomaz

Sunday – August 16, 2015
Morning: Visit the Rijksmuseum

Afternoon: Free afternoon to explore, shop, pack, and enjoy last moments in Amsterdam

Evening: Farewell Dinner at Cafe de Jaren

Meals included: Breakfast, dinner
Transportation: Accommodations to visits (public transportation and walking)

Monday – August 17, 2015 – Program ends!
9:15am – Please be downstairs, checked out, with luggage in hand ready to board the bus.
Transfer to the airport for flights home
