Arrival information

We have arranged one group transfer from the Adolfo-Suarez Madrid-Barajas Airport to your accommodations in Toledo for the morning of Sunday, May 8th.

Your on-site coordinator, Nicole Hughes, will be at the terminal to greet you after you have collected your bags and will escort you to the airport transfer bus.

If for any reason you miss the group transfer, please let your onsite staff know you will be making your way to the hotel independently, and by which route you intend to travel, so we can estimate your time of arrival.

Getting to the Hotel Carlos V independently:

By taxi: A taxi from Madrid-Barajas Airport to Toledo city center costs between 100 and 130€ and will last about an hour.  This option, while not the least expensive, is certainly the most convenient if you find yourself having to navigate from door-to-door independent of the group.

By public transport: Madrid Airport Express offers services from the Madrid Airport to the Madrid city center (Atocha train station stop) between 6am and 11.30pm.  The cost of this trip is 5€.  You can board the Madrid Airport Express from all Terminals in the airport.  You will need to get off the bus at the Atocha Train Station.  Without traffic, the journey takes about 20 minutes. In traffic, the journey can take anywhere from 30-45 minutes. From Atocha train station, you will need to take a Renfe “Avant” train to Toledo. The duration of the train ride is approximately 30-35 minutes and the cost is 13€. Once you arrive at the Toledo train station, it is recommended to take a taxi directly to Hotel Carlos V. This journey should last about 10 minutes and will cost between 5-10€.
