Chelsea Shea began traveling abroad in college when she engaged in an alternative Spring Break to Ecuador, and a month independent study in the Philippines. Following her experiences in the Philippines, she decided to study the dance culture of the island of Leyte in the Philippines and wrote her thesis about the history of that culture through dance. After obtaining her Masters degree in Multicultural Dance Education, she danced professionally in China and then taught classical dance at public magnet schools both in the Washington DC and Houston areas. Recently, her husband Bernard and her moved to Cape Coast to operate the family drugstores, which are a focal point in the community and central to all points of interest. She is available every day at Opoku Sakyi Drugstores from 6:30am-9:30pm if you need help or assistance. Taxi drivers know the store very well, and it is a short taxi drive from UCC.
